What we check to see if you qualify (2026 program year)

These rebates are for heat pump systems. A new furnace, boiler or standard water heater does not qualify for Mass Save.

Where you live. Mass Save is a Massachusetts program, so these rebate amounts apply to Massachusetts homes. We install across southern New Hampshire too — tell us where you are and we will let you know what is available on your side of the line.

What heats your home now. The largest rebates go to homes moving off oil, propane, natural gas or electric resistance heat and onto a heat pump.

Removing vs. keeping the old system. The full whole-home rebate requires your existing heating system to be removed and decommissioned. If you keep it as a backup — which plenty of homeowners do — the whole-home rebate is $2,000 lower.

Weatherization. To reach whole-home amounts your home needs to have been built in 2000 or later, OR have a Mass Save assessment showing under $1,000 of recommended weatherization work, OR have had weatherization done since 2013. Homes that do not meet one of these drop to partial-home rebate amounts.

Who installs it. The work has to be done by a contractor in the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network. Caron is on that list.

Timing. The system has to be installed between January 1 and December 31, 2026.

Rebate amounts vary by equipment, by home and by eligibility. We will tell you what your home actually qualifies for before you commit to anything.
